Selling the experience of escaping to the Scottish countryside
For this project, Cherry Marketing travelled to Scotland to capture the beauty of Ruthven Falls, a peaceful holiday park surrounded by stunning natural scenery.
Our brief was to create a promotional feature video and supporting photography that would showcase the park's lifestyle and surroundings, helping generate interest in the holiday homes available.
With beautiful views, tranquil surroundings and scenic walks, we had plenty of inspiration.
Our Approach
We wanted the content to reflect exactly what makes Ruthven Falls appealing: the opportunity to escape the everyday and enjoy time in a peaceful countryside setting.
Rather than relying entirely on property-focused imagery, we built the shoot around the park's natural surroundings.
We captured the open views, quiet atmosphere, walking routes and dog-friendly environment, alongside the holiday homes themselves.
The aim was to create marketing content that would appeal to people looking for their own countryside retreat, helping them imagine the experiences they could enjoy as holiday homeowners.
The Challenge
Of course, a shoot in Scotland wouldn't be complete without some unpredictable weather!
With outdoor photography and videography forming such an important part of the brief, finding the right conditions was essential.
Fortunately, we had a break in the weather on our first morning, so we made the most of the opportunity to capture the key outdoor footage while the conditions were on our side.
It meant working efficiently and prioritising the most important shots, but that's all part of creating content on location.
The Finished Result
We produced a promotional feature video and supporting photography highlighting the park's peaceful setting, natural surroundings and holiday home lifestyle.
The finished content provided Ruthven Falls with marketing assets designed to help prospective buyers see the appeal of owning a holiday home in such a beautiful location.
With further opportunities for the park to grow, the imagery also helped showcase the wider setting and potential of the development.
